This project leverages the core resources of the Kongque River Beacon Sites, integrating the overall tourism assets of Yuli County. Using the beacon architecture as a foundational element, it deconstructs the landscape relationships through a combination of the beacon sites (museum), Kongque River (park trail), oasis (outdoor exhibition area), and Lop Nur (Yuping Lake). The initiative aims to create a cultural landmark that blends historical heritage, educational exhibition, and landscape art. This landmark will serve the entire region and radiate its influence across Xinjiang, fostering a deep connection between history, culture, and the natural environment. Eleven towering structures are gathered within the Great Wall Cultural Park, forming an imposing "beacon site complex" that stands as a striking urban landmark and a monumental tribute to the culture of beacon towers. Visitors can immerse themselves in the grandeur of these historical scenes, effectively addressing the challenges of on-site visits to the beacon ruins. The architecture grows freely, extending into the environment, serving as a vivid recreation of the frontier garrison culture and Silk Road memories under the protection of the original beacon system. It also embodies the modern demand for the integration of architecture and natural ecology. The museum's circulation path employs spatial storytelling, weaving together the play of light and shadow along visitor routes, the dynamic interplay of expanding and contracting spaces, and the passage of time. This carefully crafted journey gradually unfolds the cultural legacy of the Great Wall and the historical narratives of the Peacock River Beacon Towers through an accessible and engaging presentation. The interior exhibition design transforms the beacon tower's soaring vertical space into a spatial focal point through installation art that deconstructs, reassembles, and recontextualizes historical narratives. Innovative integrations—such as modular metal panel installations, kinetic metal mesh systems synchronized with dynamic lighting, and composite material mural replicas—create self-contained yet thematically unified interpretive nodes. This multilayered approach elevates spatial storytelling while amplifying curatorial impact through calculated material juxtapositions and immersive scenography.
