The No. 4 Blast Furnace in Shougang Park is nestled right in the CIFTIS venue. Its interior spaces and added - on sections are all set up as exhibition areas. The newly - constructed bottom floor stands in contrast to the main exterior, which still sports its original look. The towering top - tower is a super prominent landmark in the park, and the small converter close by gives a sense of scale. The whole Shougang Park once hosted the Winter Olympics.

Our lighting design is on the same wavelength as the color schemes of other blast furnaces in the park. We've thrown in some really cool ignition - style scenes. When you're down on the street, it seriously feels like there's a flame cranking up the heat in the furnace. Up at the top, we installed a ring of lights that shine downward, mimicking the heating effect. For that tough - as - nails furnace frame, we light it up level by level from an internal suspension setup to really show off its structural muscle.

The lighting zeroes in on the old - equipment part all the way down to the eaves of the new construction. The rest of the place has a normal color temperature, just like modern buildings. The rusty iron - sheet eaves at the base are lit up by hidden, downward - facing linear lights. And the functional lights on the ladders? They totally break up that big, bold red color that dominates the place.

When the No. 4 Blast Furnace is all lit up, it's impossible to miss. You can spot it from between new buildings, across Qunming Lake, from the High - Line Bridge, along the extended Chang'an Street, and even from the S1 Line. Along with the other blast furnaces, it shapes Shougang's amazing night view. Our design is all about helping this furnace hold onto its rich history while smoothly fitting into the modern park, nailing that perfect mix of industrial heritage and contemporary space.
