This project leverages the natural cooling properties of ceramics, inspired by the Muscatese evaporation system, to create a passive cooling solution. By introducing water and air, the design effectively lowers indoor temperatures, making it an ideal choice for residential and commercial spaces seeking energy-efficient climate solutions.

Addressing two major environmental challenges—ceramic waste from industrial production and silt accumulation in the Shimen Reservoir—this project transforms discarded materials into a sustainable alternative to conventional cooling methods. By repurposing ceramic waste and reservoir silt, it not only reduces industrial byproducts but also lessens reliance on electricity-intensive air conditioning systems.

Its benefits extend beyond cooling efficiency. The design utilizes 100% recycled materials, promoting circular economy principles while reducing environmental impact. Its porous ceramic texture enhances evaporative cooling, creating dynamic water patterns on the surface, turning the cooling process into a visually engaging experience.

Unlike traditional cooling systems, this product requires no electricity, significantly reducing carbon emissions. It pioneers the integration of ceramic waste, reservoir silt, and ceramic 3D printing, merging material innovation, sustainability, and design aesthetics. The use of advanced ceramic 3D printing enhances both performance and artistic expression, making it a seamless blend of functionality and visual appeal.

This project is more than just a cooling system—it reimagines how waste materials can be transformed into innovative, eco-conscious solutions that merge sustainability, efficiency, and design into everyday living.
