Spatial Concerto

“Concerto” is a term borrowed from music, referring to a piece where solo instruments engage in dialogue with an orchestra, showcasing competition, contrast, coordination, and fusion within the composition.



Just as a concerto requires multiple solo instruments, can the reinterpretation of furniture be achieved through the fusion of traditional Taiwanese craftsmanship with modern design, breathing new life into it while expanding its purpose, transforming it from being mere complements to becoming centerpieces in spatial design and decoration? With diversified structure, mobility, and reusability in mind, in an era of rapid change, we aim to avoid superfluous construction materials and leverage the power of design to uphold traditional heritage, creating a sustainable and profound new way of living.



Inspired by the planning concept of the ground-floor public space in an office building, we break free from conventions, skillfully redefining spatial dynamics. Placing furniture at the forefront, our approach allows design to revert to its fundamental and pure handmade essence. By incorporating traditional Taiwanese handcrafting materials such as bulrush, rattan weaving, solid wood, and cross-stitch with contemporary elements like metal parts and painted finishes sourced from local factories, we’ve crafted a furniture series that harmoniously juxtaposes contrasting elements, resulting in pieces that blend seamlessly together. Each item in the series is interconnected, resonating with one another and extending the concept of decoration, allowing for the creation of diverse compositions within spaces of varying sizes and aesthetics, all while highlighting their distinctive artistic allure. Together, they harmonize within any space, composing a series of melodious and moving symphonies.
