Vega Connect: A Dual-Interface Robot Interaction System

In response to global societal challenges such as aging populations, labor shortages, and declining birth rates, our project introduces Vega Connect—an innovative robotic interaction system designed to bring advanced robotics into everyday homes through intuitive, human-centered design.
Despite significant advances in robot hardware and AI, interaction systems have remained outdated, requiring users to issue precise movement commands through technical interfaces built for engineers. This complexity creates a barrier to adoption, particularly in home environments where users have little or no technical background.
Vega Connect bridges this gap by reimagining the human-robot interface through a dual-interface system that translates complex robotics into simple, natural interactions:
Mobile App (Primary Interface): Tailored for everyday users, this app allows people to control and monitor robots through tapping, swiping, or natural language—just like messaging a friend. Users can assign common household tasks such as “do laundry” or “clean the table” without needing any technical knowledge.
Web Portal (Advanced Customization): For those who want deeper control, our web interface unlocks advanced features. Users can create personalized task sequences and teach Vega new skills, enabling the robot to adapt to unique routines and environments over time.
This approach transforms robotics from rigid, code-based systems into flexible companions that learn, adapt, and integrate seamlessly into users' lives. Vega Connect flips the traditional relationship—Vega Connect removes the final barrier to bringing advanced robots into everyday homes, creating technology that adapts to humans rather than forcing humans to adapt to technology.
