Located in the heart of Zhumadian’s high-tech district, Zhengyao·Shanghe City stands as a prime example of modern ecological design. With a total a landscape area of 83,520㎡, and an exhibition area of4500㎡, the project is positioned to meet the increasing demand for green, healthy living spaces. The design is centered on the concept of harmony between nature, architecture, and space, with the goal of creating a high-end residential community.
Inspired by the theme "Eastern Azure Dragon Leaping Across the Milky Way," the landscape incorporates ancient Chinese astronomy and mythology, symbolizing vitality and boundless potential. The "Seven Star Constellations" theme draws from both celestial beauty and the rich cultural heritage of the Central Plains. This fusion of cultural elements, including traditional arts and folklore, creates a distinct identity for the project while celebrating its cultural significance.
The landscape design is divided into three key zones: the "Suspended Sky Realm" entrance, the central "Star Constellation Club" area, and the "Galaxy Dreamland" children's zone. Each area is carefully crafted to provide a unique experience. The entrance features an artistic corridor with reflective water elements, creating a dynamic visual axis. The central area boasts a multi-functional space, ideal for social interactions, surrounded by lush greenery and towering trees. The children's area combines fitness amenities for the elderly and interactive play structures, encouraging intergenerational engagement.
Design challenges included balancing functional needs with spatial flow, integrating cultural elements seamlessly, and ensuring long-term sustainability. The design team adopted strategies such as dividing active and passive spaces, optimizing pedestrian and vehicle pathways, and selecting locally-sourced, durable materials to minimize maintenance costs.
Innovative materials such as textured natural stones, permeable ceramic bricks, and energy-efficient self-lighting materials were employed to create a rich, layered landscape. Notable features include a hand-crafted ceramic wall inspired by the Milky Way’s colors and a custom mosaic pool floor that echoes Van Gogh’s "Starry Night," merging art with nature.
The design embodies the seamless integration of culture, nature, and modern design, providing an extraordinary living experience while maintaining a strong commitment to sustainability and ecological harmony.
