GOKUJO YAKINIKU

The project rises with a figure of grandeur at the street corner, while uneven slats resemble flowing water, gently cascading over a landscape composed of layered contrasting materials. The shifting daylight brings out distinct expressions to the design and naturally draws the gaze of passersby. Right behind the grand door, the ceiling glimmers like rippling waves, complemented by the Koi fish light fixture, which casts a dynamic shimmer and subtly echoes the varied stone patterns and the outdoor landscape. From exterior to interior, the design invites customers into a fully immersive experience where visual and culinary delight intertwine.
Inspired by the brand's spirit of craftsmanship, the project focused on "Flow, Convergence, and Serenity" and brought the imagery into reality. Reflections of light and ripples embody the idea of "Flow," symbolizing the brand's drive for continuous improvement. The sense of "Convergence" is achieved through architectural and lighting designs, reinforcing a cohesive and striking brand identity. The arrangement of private rooms and seating areas emphasizes a feeling of "Serenity," ensuring guests can savor the pure essence of the cuisine in a tranquil and intimate atmosphere. The overall design thoughtfully fulfills the owner's vision for an elevated dining ritual and premium spatial experience, culminating in a sophisticated yakiniku destination that manifests sensory pleasure and brand value.
Smooth traffic flows contribute to a harmonious space organization, fostering a tranquil and elegant dining experience. First, appropriately spaced tables and wide aisles ensure that customers' dining and staff service paths do not interfere, creating a sense of calm. As a result, the space never feels cramped, even at full capacity, allowing for a sophisticated dining atmosphere. Secondly, the reception area signifies an overture, with a sizeable 3D box-up lighting signage, high ceilings, and slat ornaments complementing each other, creating a layering play of light and shadow that transitions from light to dark. Then, the golden Koi fish light fixture subtly guides the way and naturally takes guests into the dining area through progressive visuals that create a fluid and relaxing rhythm of movement.
