Our lives are changing dramatically in the modern world, and the image of the city we are familiar with clear division of functions is changing. Elderly care is a drastic challenge that Chinese society will face in the future.
We believe that healthcare is more than just medical care, it is the epitome of a city in the sunset. It provides more than just a space to heal and a space to live. It's a place to learn, a place to work, a place to stay, a place to relax and a place to provide. And people will meet here.
As the slogan of Ningbo, “The Harbor to the World” clearly illustrates the city's character of being born on the water and its vision of the world; Our interior design proposal also takes the city's memory of the harbor as the origin of the design.
As an important node of the Maritime Silk Road, the harbor has been integrated into every aspect of Ningbo people's lives over thousands of years of development, and the extensive foundation of foreign exchange has shaped the city's open and tolerant atmosphere. We hope to create an indoor spatial environment with regional characteristics in the Yongyuan Hospital.
Based on the concept of harbor memory, our interior design conceptual plan introduces the harbor memory of Ningbo city into the Yongyuan Hospital through the fluidity of space, the introduction of curved forms, the application of wood grain materials, and the design of the vocabulary of the navigation system.
Spatial fluidity is the focus of our program, just as the fluidity of water creates the foundation for the continuous life of Ningbo City. The fluidity of space makes Yongyuan Hospital more comfortable and dynamic. Based on the original architectural program, we divided the individual functions into functional groups according to their nature of use and integrated the design into the more public space groups, so that patients can still feel a sense of spaciousness and comfort under the compact spatial layout.
