TUNEWAVE is a music enlightenment toy designed for hearing-impaired children, aiming to guide children to perceive, understand and create music in a more inclusive and equal way. The product transforms abstract notes into concrete experiences through multimodal sensory interaction technology, allowing hearing-impaired children to transcend the limitations of physical functions and feel the emotions and charm of music in colors, vibrations and rhythms.
The entire series consists of three core components: TunePad, Lumio and EchoBox. Children can place TuneCube on TunePad to form different chord structures, and adjust the rhythm (BPM) through the slider on TunePad; while Lumio translates the melody into gorgeous visual images in real time. EchoBox is embedded with wireless charging function and contains two important components: VibeBand and TuneCube. VibeBand consists of two nested rings of different sizes, which can be hung on the chest or shared with friends. The vibration feedback of vibeband transmits the rhythm to the body, building a sense of rhythm and resonance for children.
TUNEWAVE has two modes of play: "learning mode" and "creative mode". In learning mode, children can understand basic music theory through intuitive operation; in creative mode, children can freely combine notes and use their imagination to create music, fully realizing the transition from "feeling" to "expression". In addition, the product also has social attributes, supporting parent-child play or peer interaction, making the music experience a medium for mutual communication, empathy and companionship.
The product design is based on in-depth research on families of hearing-impaired children and special education workers. It uses environmentally friendly and safe materials, with rounded corners, suitable for family and special education scenarios. TUNEWAVE is not just a toy, but also a gentle and firm design response, allowing every child to perceive the world and create sounds in their own way. We hope to use design as a bridge to connect senses and emotions, connect people and equality, and open the world of music to every child.
