The project is in Tianxin District, Changsha City, Hunan Province, facing the millennia-old Yuelu Mountain across the river. Renowned for its beautiful landscapes and cultural significance in Hunan, Yuelu Mountain adds endless charm to Changsha’s culture and lifestyle.

The project layout consists of three areas: the main entrance, lower atrium, and homecoming garden. The landscape design creates a fluid, place-oriented living space by drawing on elements like mountains, clouds, trees, rain, and streams from Mount Yuelu, retelling the mountain’s story in a modern way.

01. Main Entrance | Floating Mountain:
The rising "columns" extend rhythmically to form a continuous entrance facade resembling a mountain range.
02. Clubhouse Water Court | Mountain and Clouds:
2.1 Disappearing Boundaries
The indoor functional areas of the sunken courtyard dim the original rectangular boundaries, creating a green “mountain” with horizontal slices that evoke the foothills of Yuelu Mountain and flowing clouds.
2.2 Integrity of the Mountain
The mountain shell’s sliced model integrates functional rooms (e.g., HVAC, heat pumps, pool equipment) and standardizes exhaust vents and air shafts to create a unified facade visible from the sunken space.
2.3 Accessible Mountain
The "mountain" is a place for stopping, wandering, and admiring. Its winding path is lit by star-like lights, resembling fireflies. Platforms overlooking the pond and waterfalls make stream crossers pause and look up. Bay-like corridors on the terrace create cave-like spaces, offering mountain shelter.
2.4 Mountain Reflected in Water
The indoor swimming pool water merges with the external pond, incorporating the reflection of the "mountain" into the indoor view. The framed scene of "mountain reflected in the pond" reveals the full appearance of the mountain.
03. Garden | Pine Forest Under the Moon:
Pines sway along the mountain ridge, making the journey home through the circular corridor feel like a mountain trek.

As the inscription on Yuelu Mountain says, “A mountain holds great wonders; why seek Penglai?” We hope the lifestyle embodied in this living space can be as rich and diverse as Yuelu Mountain itself.
