Yim coconut water was founded by two Italians raising their families in Thailand. Fede and Marco realized that the constant reality of heat and humidity in Thailand was leading to chronic dehydration that took its toll on their families. Disheartened by the artificial ingredients and added sugars in other hydration products, Yim set out on a journey to create 100% natural infusions of electrolytes, fruits, and minerals. Yim invites you to practice Daily Yim: an opportunity to start each day with a clear mind, sound body, and overall sense of well-being.
Yim was in need of packaging and a visual identity that captured the essence of mindful hydration. In a market oversaturated with products boasting health benefits, it was essential for consumers to recognize Yim's commitment to using the finest ingredients to create a product that truly delivers on its promises.
Yim’s brand identity is as real as its ingredients. Lo-fi, authentic photography portrays the clarity that emerges from overcoming the mental fog caused by dehydration. Yim’s headline font, inspired by sign-painting typography from street markets, honors the roots of Yim's high-quality ingredients. A water droplet is hidden in the “Y” of the Yim logo, and a cheeky smirk is incorporated into the tail of the “Y,” a nod to the Thai meaning of Yim, “smile.” The color palette is grounded in a coconut cream base, with bold accents inspired by the luscious hues of fruit.
Packaging captures dewy, bubbly imagery of fruit submerged in water. Stamps that hearken back to fruit stickers convey product benefits and cue craftsmanship. Texture is applied throughout the system, evoking a sense of expertise that can only come from seasoned professionals. The Yim brand identity is a joyful visual world that clearly communicates the transformative impact of mindful hydration on everyday life.
