Citea Milk Tea

Uni-President Citea Milk Tea launches its new Chinese-style limited edition packaging. We draw inspiration from classic Chinese tea ware, harnessing its unique aesthetic charm to convey tea culture, introducing the Citea Porcelain Bottle.
For our two signature flavors, we selected two cultural treasures—blue and white porcelain and underglazed red porcelain—as our canvases. We explored the cultural connections between tea and fine porcelain, using the delicate warmth of hand-painted art to tell stories about people and tea, tea and vessels.
For the Da Hong Pao flavor, the scene depicts a small tea farmer resting on a giant blue-and-white teacup after completing the sun-wilting process, cradling freshly picked tea. Tea trees grow from within the cup, creating a visual harmony between movement and stillness that enhances the tea's essence.
The Rose Pu'er design captures a tea-picking scene. Beautiful roses bloom amidst the tea trees, while a great hornbill stands among the branches, vividly portraying the natural landscape of its Yunnan origin.
Furthermore, drawing from the upward-facing lotus petal patterns of ancient qinghua linglong (blue-and-white "rice grain") bowls and the characteristic two leaves and a bud" shape of fine tea leaves, we created an exclusive pattern for Da Hong Pao. For Rose Pu'er, we fused the ruyi (auspicious cloud) motif with rose forms to craft its corresponding pattern.
Whether through visual storytelling or tea culture expression, the Citea Porcelain Bottle masterfully achieves an artistic fusion of tradition and modern innovation, showcasing the captivating beauty of tea culture under the new Chinese aesthetic.
