About The Entry
Zhangjiang VOCO Hotel is the first VOCO hotel opened by InterContinen-tal Hotels Group in Shanghai, which was renovated from the original Ramada Hotel. From the exterior facade and landscape to interior de-sign, all have been transformed by KHD design, highlighting the longi-tudinal and transverse blocks of the building, as well as the overall skeletal structure of the building. The landscape trail captures the essence of French gardens and is adorned with VOCO's mascot, the sky-lark, as a lively welcome during the period.
The interior decoration and artistic atmosphere of the hotel are themed around "molecular motion", using circular, rectangular, dotted, and linear shapes to outline the state of molecular motion, just like the distance between people, which needs to be enriched with lively social and quiet private spaces. The large art installation in the lobby is composed of electronic matrix flip cards, and the "Joyful Welcoming by the skylark" image was created by KHD, overlapping with the brand's blue and gold surfaces to create infinite graphics.
The lobby bar is centered around a bar counter and a glass fish tank, with a circular layout that combines privacy and openness. The brand mascot, the flamingo, appears and disappears behind the glass, making it an excellent social venue. The restaurant interweaves meal taking and dining through flexible spatial arrangement.
The guest rooms have undergone moderate renovation and upgrading, be-coming a modern and comfortable resting space.
