Ningbo Jiangdong Jinmao Palace

Jinmao Residence Ningbo is a residential clubhouse that fuses the refined elegance of Song Dynasty culture with the cosmopolitan spirit of the “Haipai” style. Inspired by the ancient scroll Searching for Song in Siming, the design reinterprets Ningbo’s cultural heritage through an abstract lens, integrating three nationally recognized intangible crafts—gold-and-mud lacquer, bone-and-wood inlay, and Yue kiln celadon—into a contemporary luxury setting.
The clubhouse transforms into a “world art gallery,” featuring works by renowned international artists alongside bespoke local creations. In the lobby, shimmering copper lacquer paintings shift with light, while a large abstract art mural—crafted with hand-painted textures and ceramic mosaic reliefs—evokes the bustling order of Ningbo Port. In the lounge and negotiation areas, fragments of Searching for Song in Siming are reimagined as poetic compositions, rendered in enduring composite materials and traditional craftsmanship, weaving a timeless dialogue between heritage and modern artistry.
