This innovative project is the first eco-sustainable luxury semisubmerged hotel resort with floating suites. Its is called Amphibious like a big aquatic animal stretching out from the land into the sea and extends horizontally for 1km thanks to two long wide arms. The whole architecture is floating, to adapt to increase of the sea levels, and also energy self-sufficient, using hydrogen and renewable energy systems and reducing the energy consumption for air conditioning through the use of natural microventilation systems.
The project is composed of a land section and sea section. Near the welcome area, there are four innovative semisubmerged hotels with underwater halls that give a fascinating views. Large diagonal glass windows make the hotels unique, with big terrace that overlooks the Marine Park for a total of 300 suites. Complitely underwater will find the activities of the hotels, lounge areas, restaurants, coffe shops, surrounded by large acquariums.
To the smaller floating platforms will be anchored 80 floating suites 350 sqm each, called Jelly-fish with underwater views within the artificial reef. It’s a really floating house for six people, 16m in diameter and 9m high, realized like a superyacht in aluminium and reciclable materials, make it 90% recyclable and energy self-sufficient, thanks photovoltaic surface on the roof and special electric generator with hydrogen fuel cells system, that extracts hydrogen from seawater. At 3m below the sea level, will find the core of the suite, the underwater globe in hi-resistante acrylic surface, the most intimate living room where you can admire the wonders of the sealife into artifical reef.
In the Amphibious, the water transport is also provided by very futuristic 20 metres aluminium eco-yachts, called Trilobis that are equipped with hydrogen engines that only produce drinking water as waste material, through an electrochemical process. Will find the underwater observation globe 3m below the sea level. It houses six seating places, connected with computers and special software which allows people to personalize the outside lighting and in real time to get information on the sea-bed and the fish below.
