In my opinion flexibility in architecture goes beyond aesthetically functional patterns. The contemporary interior is defined by the mutation capacity of the domestic and in response to such premises, the villa is conceived as a holder of multiple overlapping scenarios, which allow the adaptability of use over time to be maximum. An essential villa is imagined, in which the service elements are reduced to a minimum in favor of free, open, and flexible spaces. Definitely, the objective is that the villa maximizes the opportunities of use so that its inhabitants live as they want and not as the residence imposes.

Located in a garden of 1800 m2 and 170 m2 for the building, the project consists of a set of volumes that overlap in order to create maximum integration between the environments and the amplitude of the spaces.

The social and leisure areas are located on the ground floor, which opens completely to the garden and the pool, integrating harmoniously with the living and dining areas. The reflection of the pool creates an attractive light on the entrance ceiling. The upper floor accommodates the master suite, guest room, service room and a pleasant terrace. In the intersection of this volumes, as the core of the house, a double height access was design including the main stair, and the skylight. The skylight allows for pleasant natural lighting that accentuates the linearity of the space.

Considering the brief of the project, efficient construction in metallic structure and concrete for the floors and walls was chosen. Privacy was a concern with the proximity to neighbors thus, the two side volumes are placed in this way to create an introverted state.

This concept is a response to the needs of those who have minimal lifestyle and want to get the most out of the landscape and natural light while privacy is observed.
