Genting Guest Xperience Centre

The Genting Guest Experience Centre sits atop Malaysia’s iconic Genting Highlands at an elevation of 6,000 feet above sea level.

Conceived as the “City in the Cloud,” the gallery reimagines an ethereal environment that captures the sensation of drifting through clouds above the city. The gallery design draws upon the subtle hues, translucency, and layered qualities of cloud formations, translating them into a spatial narrative of serenity, lightness, and seamless continuity.

To reinforce this vision, ceiling and wall treatments are composed of lightweight materials in a natural, muted palette, enhancing both visual and tactile delicacy. Careful consideration was given to site constraints, with particular attention to the proportional relationship between ceiling and wall paneling. This meticulous calibration allows the gallery to maintain a controlled ceiling height to achieve continuous, undulating space.

Visitors are greeted by a cloud-like chandelier paired with an interactive digital display. Lighting is choreographed to diffuse softly throughout the gallery, emulating sunlight filtering gently through cloud layers, immersing guests in a calm yet dynamic atmosphere.

The gallery is designed as an immersive journey, housing multiple exhibits/ installations that integrate interactive and experiential content. Each installation is conceived to engage the senses and invite participation, transforming the gallery into a living gallery.
