This design project originates from the broader trend of technological evolution, introducing two newly digitized color calibration instruments that redefine the generational application of color-matching lamps. The Portable-Genesis is compact and lightweight, easily fitting in one hand and slipping into a backpack, making it a professional beacon for designers on the go. The Desktop- Genesis, on the other hand, features high-lumen output and wide-area illumination, flexibly meeting the color comparison needs of large objects.
Both models are equipped with 32-bit microchips and thousands of lines of algorithmic code, enabling real-time and precise control over color temperature and illuminance. They also automatically adjust light output based on movement or changes in angle to ensure stable light quality. The real-time lighting data displayed has been verified by internationally recognized third-party certification bodies, establishing a standardized benchmark for professionals in design, quality control, procurement, and product acceptance, and solidifying the product’s position as a leading industry standard.
Compared to traditional analog color-matching light booths, which are bulky, imprecise, power-hungry, and environmentally unfriendly, this project introduces two first-of-their-kind solutions: the Portable Genesis and Desktop Genesis. Innovations include:
1. Fully digitized wide-spectrum light control and display
2. Modular design for ease of repair and upgrade
3. Intuitive, high-precision dial interface
4. Crafted with high-transparency quartz glass and a seamless solid wood casing, the product embodies the aesthetic philosophy of “a tool as a work of art.” By significantly reducing plastic components and opting for highly durable metal screws, its design lifespan far exceeds that of similar products. Striking a balance among efficiency, durability, aesthetics, and sustainability.
The product is suitable for industries such as textile dyeing, apparel, leather and footwear materials, furniture and construction materials, consumer electronics, plastics, packaging and printing, and chemical coatings. This tool serves as the optimal solution for color calibration across artistic creation, product design, business communication, and production quality control-realizing seamless collaboration and an ideal balance between design and mass production.
