About The Entry

Breaking free from the traditional "bulky, lab-centric" image of brain-computer interfaces, this device establishes a new design paradigm with its lightweight, circular structure and sleek, minimalist, high-tech aesthetic. The intuitive rotary knob replaces traditional straps for quick and easy adjustment. Modular magnetic electrode pads eliminate inefficient factory repairs, demonstrating a deep understanding of user needs in its design. The large black mirrored surface combined with dynamic lighting effects gives the device strong recognition and a futuristic, high-tech presence, elevating it from a mere medical tool to a smart wearable that provides emotional value. The design features an integrated circular structure with a white base tone, conveying pure technological sophistication. A black functional area creates a visual focal point, while a colorful light strip provides an immersive user experience through breathing and rhythmic effects. In terms of material selection, silicone side wings ensure both skin-friendliness and safety, the woven back cushion offers comfort and breathability, and internal sponge padding ensures a light and snug fit. The IML-crafted panel appears as a smooth, understated mirror when idle; once activated, the flowing lights resemble a stage coming alive, vividly demonstrating the aesthetic contrast between "stillness" and "motion." The design revolves around three core principles: "seamless, intuitive, and flexible." Five front-mounted electrodes precisely conform to the forehead, ensuring stable EEG data collection. The rotary knob enables quick and easy fitting, avoiding complex operations. The magnetic electrode pads, with their dual-layer structure, accommodate various head shapes, showcasing the design's inclusivity for individual differences. LED light effects transform abstract data feedback into perceptible visual signals, allowing users to intuitively understand the device's status through changes in light color. This interactive visualization, an extension of its functionality, makes the BCI device less impersonal, fostering a sense of closeness in its use.
