SINANEN Headquarter Office Project

This is a relocation project for five companies in the SINANEN Holdings Group, an integrated energy services company. The new head office building was built in Shinagawa(Tokyo), where the company was founded, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the company's founding, with the aim of returning to the place where the company was founded and making a new leap forward.
After COVID-19, it was difficult to attract people to the office as the hybrid working style took hold. The client wanted a place where people would come to work in a positive way, where they would have positive face-to-face interactions, and where employees and guests would become fans of the company. We therefore defined our concept as "FUN BASE", an office that employees and guests would want to visit.
The main policy was to create a different design flavor on each of the five floors, with each floor having a different function to suit the way people work: park cafe, nature lounge, gallery, lab, home, etc. Each space has its own appealing personality.
Each space has an appealing personality, creating an enjoyable experience that allows employees to use the entire office in their own way as they move through the five floors.
In addition, the approach was adopted both from the perspective of how to incorporate employees' opinions into the construction process and from the company's goal of achieving a decarbonized society. Workshops were held with rank-and-file employees at the design stage, and the company's desire to be felt in the office was embodied in the design by incorporating artwork by people with disabilities into the wallpaper.
