Dongguan Waterfront Future School is a municipal public secondary school located in Hongmei Town, with convenient access to Dongguan West Station and Hongmei Station. The design follows a "dual-axis, single-core, multi-zone integration" planning approach, transforming the 107,000-square-meter site into a modern campus with composite functions and flexible spatial arrangements. The total construction area is approximately 144,500 square meters.
Guided by the design concept of "Future Harbor," the architecture adopts a language of "horizontal lines, upward growth," symbolizing both the vitality of students’ development and a forward-looking, pioneering spirit. Functional zones—including academic areas, arts and innovation spaces, sports facilities, and living quarters—are interconnected via covered corridors, forming an open and shared core campus area. Ample green spaces are leveraged to create an "ecological oasis," blending nature with architecture and reflecting the characteristics of the Lingnan watertown. Facilities such as the library, arts building, science and innovation labs, performance center, and sports complex exhibit both technological sophistication and humanistic elegance, highlighting the school’s future-oriented educational approach.
As a new engine for education in Dongguan, the school integrates aesthetic immersion, technological empowerment, and ecological nurturing through a deep synergy between architectural planning and educational philosophy, contributing to the high-quality development of regional basic education.
