Liu Yu 2025 [Poet of the Universe] Concert Tour

The stage design concept for Liu Yu's 2025 "Poet of the Universe" tour originates from establishing the series' core themes and aesthetic expressions. Through Four Series Concerts, it constructs a progressively advancing emotional narrative and philosophical contemplation, respectively:
[Sun] - Symbolizing hope and gentleness, showcasing initial vibrant vitality.
[Moon] - Interpreting purity and fantasy, conveying romantic encounters and cultural fusion.
[Star] - Evoking solitude and introspection, creating the silent fall of snow amid lonely journeys and life reflections.
[Dawn] - Embracing heritage and reincarnation, completing the philosophical sublimation from rebirth to eternity within a grand narrative.
The stage design emphasizes the [duality and unity] of stage space, mechanics, performance, and set design. It skillfully balances the boundless vastness of the Western [Cosmos] with the romantic resilience of the Oriental [Poet]. Combined with the artist's performances across [Traditional] and [Modern] dual chapters, it leads the audience to explore the heritage of civilizational diversity under the vast universe.
The stage design echoes its theme by adopting the Chinese idiom [Round Cosmos, Square Earth 天圆地方] as the design concept. Overhead lighting and mechanical structures form expanding concentric rings above the stage center, engaging in a dialogue of cosmos and earth with the square matrix of lifting platforms below.The infinitely extensible lighting structure resembles the gravitational waves of the cosmos. The concentric mechanical rings can morph into various thematic stage elements like galaxies, flowers, or butterflies, while the spiral structure further echoes the themes of destiny, cycle, and rebirth.
The stage screens are designed with dual forms. The full-wing immersive screen creates a deeply engaging VJ experience and maximizes the presentation of the artist's performance. As the screens gradually open from middle, the rear set design space transforms based on the unique theme of each concert, forming the distinct set designs for the four themes: [Sun], [Moon], [Star], and [Dawn].
The large matrix of lifting platforms, along with stage props like war drums and flags in traditional performances. In modern chapter, they collaborate with VJs and arrays of shimmering lasers to create suspended and layered stage compositions, providing a foundation for richer visual arrangements.
