BLUETTI Pioneer Na (Sodium): The World’s First Sodium-Ion Portable Power Station
The BLUETTI Pioneer Na is the world’s first sodium-ion portable power station, designed for extreme cold and winter storm preparedness, and serves as a reliable power source for challenging winter outdoor adventures, including polar expeditions.
It supports safe charging at -15 °C (5 °F) and reliable discharge at -25 °C (-13 °F). This superior thermal stability also provides enhanced safety with a reduced risk of thermal runaway compared to conventional lithium-ion batteries under similar cold conditions. Powered by a 900 Wh sodium-ion battery with 1,500 W output (2,250 W in Power Lifting Mode), it can power a wide range of devices.
The Pioneer Na offers a more environmentally friendly alternative, using a sustainable sodium-based chemistry with easily sourced materials and lower environmental impact in production. With dual AC + PV charging, it recharges from 0–80 % in just 35 minutes under typical conditions (10–25 °C / 50–77 °F).
The Pioneer Na is part of a BLUETTI-supported expedition, with an ambassador scheduled to depart for Antarctica and the South Pole in mid-December, providing real-world testing in some of the harshest conditions on Earth.
