Farming Planet

The “Houdoumen · Farming Planet” project is located in Sandun Town, Xihu District, Hangzhou. Triggered by the hit variety-show IP “Farming Boys”, it exploits both local policy support and pre-existing web traffic to create an open agricul-ture-culture-tourism demonstration zone that integrates artistic living, industrial incubation and cultural experience.
Design core: “archaic futurism”. Concept: “industrial con-vergence + community sharing”. Through spatial devices of old-new symbiosis and scenographic narrative, the original village fabric is protectively re-organised.
In the Qin’tian Village quarter, vernacular materials are in-terwoven with contemporary language; architecture and wheat fields generate an immersive coexistence that revives rural memory while injecting present-day aesthetics.
The Gongfu Workshops block uses an elastic, hybrid layout to embed the Youth House, shared theatre, live-streaming studio, Gongfu Store and other mixed functions, forming a single value chain of “produce – display – experi-ence – consume”. Landmark IPs and check-in moments are designed to convert variety-show traffic into sustainable kinet-ic energy, establishing a new benchmark for rural revitalisa-tion that leads innovation in agriculture-culture-tourism.
