The Fivefold Parable: From Machinery to Consciousness

This work is an experimental video art installation composed of five vertically arranged display screens. Through a sequence of five interconnected videos, the project constructs a narrative allegory that reflects on possible forms of human existence in the technological future. Created with C4D three dimensional modeling, the visuals combine intricate mechanical structures, circuit board textures, and human or biological forms. The work traces a conceptual evolution from physical machinery to digital consciousness. Gears, circuits, and the synchronized movement of Roman numeral clock hands symbolize a renewed dialogue between technology and traditional systems of time. Meanwhile, post human hybrid figures formed by metallic muscles, CRT display structures, and crystalline representations of consciousness suggest a redefinition of bodily boundaries under technological intervention, transforming the human body from a biological container into a carrier of technology and consciousness.
The project unfolds through a five dimensional narrative progression that moves from bodily reconstruction to perceptual transformation and the redefinition of mobility. A headless pink figure paired with a large biomechanical eye proposes a new sensory system, where personal identity gradually shifts into a node within a network of collective awareness. In a brain like spatial environment, a traditional wheelchair and a floating consciousness chair are linked by luminous lines, symbolizing the transition of movement from body driven mobility to consciousness driven navigation.
In the final stage, a curled human figure within a hibernation chamber connects with a floating consciousness form through delicate threads, presenting a state in which physical presence and consciousness exist separately yet remain intertwined. Through motion imagery, the work transforms abstract philosophical questions into tangible visual experiences. It suggests that future technological development will not replace humanity but extend human capability and expand consciousness, proposing a vision of composite symbiosis that contributes to ongoing discussions surrounding digital existence and post humanism.
