The idea to design an indoor product useful for the environment, both for the air and people’s everyday life, gave birth to this project.

Till is a multifunctional product consisting of two main parts: a cork board with 80/90 Tillandsia plants and a structure having the function of a shelf. This last part is 100% customizable by the client as it can be made of wood, metal, PMMA or recycled plastic.

Tillandsia plants are a particular family of plants called “air plants”. They can live without soil, they use their small roots to attach to different surfaces in nature and they have tiny hairs on their surface called trichomes. These trichomes are small structures that open to collect the water in the air (humidity) and close when the plant does not need nutrients.

Different studies and experiments made worldwide have ascertained that Tillandsia trichomes not only absorb humidity but also its polluting particles. These plants are also able to absorb electromagnetic pollution produced by electrical appliances.

Using plants to decorate places helps directly the central nervous system. Green is an excellent anti-stress remedy and it is an excellent ally for concentration and memory.

In conclusion, Till is a natural air purifier with customizable shelves and with an automatic watering system.
