Walking into the foyer entrance, the storage area on the left is the starting point of the black and white contrast, exhibiting light and shadow. From the entrance door, this project builds the dynamic tension of black then white, and back to black again. Continuing to other dimensions in this space, the contrast of lights and shadows maintains its consistency. The entrance hall serves as the divider of this space with a black grille on the ceiling, dividing the entire public domain into two sections. This corresponds to the wooden

splicing of contrasting colors on the ground. On one side of the public domain, is the living room and the study room, displaying the male owner’s preference of cold tones; on the other side is the dining and kitchen area, displaying the female owner’s favorite warm tones. Each of them enjoys living in their own preferred color temperature.

Walking into the living room, the warm wood connects with the dark slate on the surface of the main TV wall. It exhibits the contrast of the natural beauty of cold and warmth. In the living room, there is an original leather sofa in the same color as the wooden surface. The camel color becomes the protagonist of the space in the dim cool tone, echoing the wooden surface of the main wall.

In order to expand the public domain, the partition wall of the original study room is eliminated, and the space behind the sofa is planned as an open study area. Not equipping the desks enlarges the layout and reduces the traffic flow. The couch area by the window brings about the enjoyment of leisure reading. The back wall is divided and combined with marble bookcase doors to match the white three-dimensional diamond grid with the visual pleasure of block-shaped shadows on the ceiling. The fine details reveal the delicate intentions, bringing a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere to the space, achieving an elegant charm.
