The school was established in 1980, and the department was founded in 2008. After nearly 50 years and multiple partial renovations, the campus buildings lacked a unified architectural identity. Centered on futurism and immersive exploration, this project redefines the conventional, rectilinear classroom and breaks away from the traditional teaching model of “rows of seats facing a blackboard.”
A 270-degree wraparound projection screen creates a highly immersive learning experience, placing students at the core of knowledge-driven scenarios. Cool-toned visuals and fluid circular circulation convey a sense of advanced technology, symbolizing digital transformation and cutting-edge educational resources. The round-table configuration dismantles centralized authority and encourages face-to-face discussion and collaborative learning, transforming the classroom into a platform for collective creation. The design expresses the boundless nature of knowledge, inspiring students’ imagination and curiosity.
To accommodate diverse teaching approaches, the space supports four flexible modes of use: touch-interactive activities, small group discussions, circular immersive projection, and traditional instruction. Furniture is designed to be stackable and foldable, allowing the space to be easily reconfigured for different teaching scenarios. The overall design balances functionality, technological expression, and aesthetics, presenting a forward-looking yet practical learning environment.
