Haid Science Park is the new headquarters of the globally leading agricultural and animal husbandry enterprise Haid Group. Responding to the transformation of modern working patterns and the growing demand for sustainability, the project integrates ESG principles into spatial design to create an inclusive, warm, technology-driven, and healthy ecosystem campus. It functions not only as a highly efficient “super headquarters cluster,” but also as a spatial paradigm for the transformation of agritech enterprises.
Rooted in the characteristics of agricultural technology enterprise, the design proposes the core concept of “Working-Life,” breaking away from conventional office typologies by advocating an organic integration of work and daily life. At the macro level, the campus operates as a “micro city,” integrating offices, R&D, training, and supporting facilities into a comprehensive ecosystem that fosters long-term innovation. At the micro level, biophilic design strategies, diversified spatial scenarios, and human-centered details enhance employee well-being, belonging, and team cohesion.
The project strictly fulfills its ESG commitments, targeting the WELL Gold Standard. ENF/F4-star eco-friendly materials, adhesive-free carpets, and professionally designed acoustic and lighting systems are applied to ensure employee health, comfort, and environmental sustainability.
Spatially, the headquarters redefines the corporate image through openness and warm materiality. Inspired by the ocean, the lobby’s layered wave-like ceiling creates a flowing atmosphere that symbolizes harmony between enterprise and nature. Dual-lobby circulation and a central café hub optimize movement efficiency while encouraging informal communication and collaboration.
Office areas follow a principle of dynamic zoning, flexibly combining focus pods with open collaboration spaces to accommodate diverse working modes. Biophilic spaces, library-like atriums, open staircases, and “Inspiration Boxes” replace traditional meeting rooms, forming a garden-style workplace that supports continuous learning and deep thinking.
The Haid Research Institute expresses a strong sense of technology and futurism. A nine-story super atrium, transparent elevators, and a “Gene Spiral Staircase” reinforce spatial unity and symbolize the continuous evolution of agricultural science. The lakeside restaurant further embodies the “Working-Life” concept, translating imagery of growth and harvest into a warm, healing dining experience.
