HANGZHOU XIAOSHAN FLOWS VILLA

The project is located in the Shushan area of Xiaoshan, Hangzhou, a precious land intertwined with mountains, rivers, and culture. The gentle flow of the Yaojiang River blends harmoniously with the abundant natural landscapes and splendid cultural heritage of Shushan since ancient times. The design deeply explores the essence of the site, drawing inspiration from natural landscapes, celadon porcelain, and poetry culture. With water as the main theme, the design channels the water from the Yaojiang River into the garden, creating a continuous water axis that connects multiple spaces such as the ceremonial entrance, sunken courtyard, cantilevered pool, and forested tranquility area. Mountains, streams, waterfalls, creeks, and forests are transformed into concrete landscape nodes within the garden, forming the spatial framework. Inspired by the elegance of "A Scenic View of Mountains and Streams" and the poetic imagery of He Zhizhang, the design integrates ecology, aesthetics, and sustainable concepts through modern oriental design techniques, creating a three-dimensional natural habitat of exquisite quality. It reflects a miniature of the ideal world of literati and scholars, fully showcasing the charm of the Shushan site.
