Under the constraints of a high-density urban context and limited spatial conditions, the project adopts the continuity between interior and exterior spaces as its core design strategy. Drawing inspiration from the natural and cultural context of Baiyun Mountain, a spatial system is formed through the progressive layering of views, circulation, and spatial sequences—naturally unfolding from outside to inside, and from lower to higher levels.
Through a design approach of “small-scale spaces carrying a profound sense of place,” the project emphasizes emotional experience, creating a living environment where landscape and architecture are deeply integrated.
The landscape of the demonstration area is Inspired by the Japanese con-cept of “Garden and Dwelling as One”,Through an integrated spatial com-position, the natural landscape extends seamlessly into the interior. The de-sign distills the imagery of mountain, water, and clouds from Baiyun Moun-tain as its core elements, blending Eastern aesthetic sensibilities with con-temporary expression. Spatial techniques such as borrowed scenery, sym-bolism, and intentional voids are employed to create a Zen-inspired land-scape with a refined, modern character.
Guided by four key principles—boundary-less integration, tranquil restraint, understated elegance, and a return to nature—the design transforms a lim-ited site into a richly layered, rhythmically composed, and emotionally re-storative landscape experience.
