"Wings of Karamay" is located in the Dinosaur Valley of Karamay Ghost City, with pterosaur wings as the core concept, echoing the site's Yardang landform and ancient life context, and implicitly reflecting the pioneering spirit of the city. The design extracts the core skeleton by deconstructing the pterosaur form, optimizes curves and arranges nodes with digital algorithms, presenting the dynamic spread of pterosaur wings in a lightweight structure similar to weaving;

The inspiration for the work stems from the paleontological cultural foundation of Dinosaur Valley. As a representative species in the air during the Mesozoic era, the skeletal morphology of the pterosaur is in line with the prehistoric life lineage carried by Dinosaur Valley. It not only extends the regional paleontological culture in a concrete way but also builds a visual bridge for visitors to the prehistoric ecology, fitting the core positioning of the venue as "paleontological science popularization + cultural tourism experience". The design deconstructs the pterosaur's form to extract its core skeleton, optimizes the curve and node arrangement through digital algorithms, and presents the dynamic of spreading wings with a lightweight structure. The majestic and desolate Yadan landform forms a strong visual contrast with the lightweight and tensioned structures, injecting vivid vitality into the vast Gobi desert and becoming a highly recognizable visual anchor within the valley. At the same time, the imagery of the pterosaur "breaking through the sky and galloping on the wind" resonates deeply with the pioneering spirit of Karamay, which rose from the wilderness to become a city of oil, realizing the organic integration of paleontological culture, regional style, and the ever-evolving vitality of the city.
