Artist's Clothes Airer A new type of laundry rack which transforms into a piece of linear wall art when it is adjusted towards the wall. This laundry rack looks like a picture frame when it is adjusted towards the wall as flat aluminium bar has been used to create a frame. The pattern has been created so the user cannot overload or overlap clothes for optimum drying times, therefore the pattern is as functional as it is aesthetically pleasing. In terms of the bracket, with the simple shape, it supports the frame to prevent it from falling. The bracket is finished with a white spray and lacquer to be camouflaged against the white wall, which allows the rack to become the focal point. The amount of clothes which can be hung on the rack is around 5kg; the same capacity of a small washing machine. Both frame and the brackets are powder coated which is one of the environmental-friendly methods of finishing. It was found that the laundry rack is one of the most regularly used items within the home, however, people do not realise just how much it is really used. Despite its importance, it has no place among the everyday household furniture. When it is not being used, it is often hidden away in the corner. It is for this reason, that the drying rack has been reborn with functional and display purposes
