Zhongjing Food’s corporate exhibition hall is located in the Zhongjing Food Industrial Park in Nanyang, Henan, with a gross floor area of 460 sqm. The design starts with the narrative cue of “one peppercorn, one shiitake, one scallion,” distilling the shared origin of the company’s core products into the concept of “soil.” A spatial methodology named the “Soil Horizon” runs through the entire experience: it links the Chinese concept of “One” with the interface relationship between “soil” and the “horizon line,” conveying that only when ingredients are rooted in the right land can outstanding quality be cultivated.
A one-way circulation route connects the Entrance Hall—History—Product Development—Quality Inspection—Corporate Honors—R&D Innovation—Corporate Culture—Social Responsibility—Product Display—and Finale, forming a progressive experience that moves from “ingredient origins” to “science-enabled production,” and from “quality control” to “brand value.” Visually and materially, the space is organized into two layers: below the horizon, tactile surfaces and textures emphasize authentic ingredients and the grounding of their origins; above the horizon, clean finishes and precise lighting present standardized systems and R&D capability.
The ceiling introduces an innovative honeycomb-backed mirrored stainless-steel panel system, ensuring large-area flatness and structural stability while remaining accessible for inspection and maintenance. The brand logo and key information converge through reflection into a complete symbol, metaphorically expressing “organic nature beneath the soil” and “Zhongjing’s science above the soil.” Through touchable physical exhibits, interactive digital guidance, and a recognizable brand super-symbol, the project transforms complex data into a perceivable brand narrative, while the highly identifiable ceiling landmark strengthens communication and long-term recall.
