Located in the core area of Wuhan, this project is a multi-functional community center that integrates commercial, ecological and cultural resources into its overall planning framework. Through rational spatial zoning, residential spaces and supporting facilities are relatively independent yet seamlessly connected, achieving functional integration and living convenience. Meanwhile, the planning of landscape spaces such as the central landscape axis and sunken garden embodies the practice of ecological concepts, forging a positive interaction between the architectural layout and the natural environment.
The large-scale entrance provides ample buffer and guiding space for the exhibition area, with its design inspired by the classic scene of the Bianzhong Chimes of Marquis Yi of Zeng—arranged in three staggered layers and hung on a zigzag-shaped bell frame. A total of 11,166 custom-made ceramic tiles and warm, translucent marble slabs are meticulously handcrafted and spliced to form a three-tiered curved surface mimicking the shape of the bianzhong chimes.
Passing through the gate, a layered landscape design featuring a dry creek, mirror water feature and sunken garden creates an integrated landscape system where ecology and daily life interweave, further enhancing the positive interaction between the architectural layout and the natural environment.
