Concept ⛘ A Life Carved in Marble
The project name Remarkable directly reflects its core material—marble. The concept embodies a “special yet solid” design philosophy, where everyday life is shaped through the enduring presence of natural stone. Marble serves not merely as a surface finish, but as a foundational element that defines the spatial character, expressing permanence, clarity, and a refined lifestyle grounded in material authenticity.
Materials ⛘ Balance of Firmness & Warmth
Imported marble is extensively applied throughout the interior, with variations in natural veining and tone used to subtly define spatial zones. To balance the cool and composed quality of the stone, Spring Elm wood with a wire-brushed finish is introduced. This intentional contrast between firmness and warmth creates a luxurious yet grounded atmosphere, enhancing both visual depth and tactile comfort.
Structure ⛘ Light & Volume Capitalizing
Taking advantage of the generous ceiling height, a mezzanine level is introduced to expand spatial capacity and functional flexibility. Large openings draw natural daylight and garden views into the interior, reinforcing a continuous relationship between indoor and outdoor environments and supporting a relaxed, fluid living experience.
Climate ⛘ Seasonal Intelligence
To respond to local climate conditions, a floor-heating system is installed beneath the marble flooring. It provides consistent warmth during winter, while the stone’s natural thermal properties contribute to cooling comfort in summer. By integrating climate-responsive systems with material performance, the project achieves year-round comfort while maintaining strong aesthetic integrity.
