This project is situated in the main urban area of Jinshui District, Zhengzhou City. As two iconic landmarks of Zhengzhou, Songyang Academy and Yingtian Academy stand side by side, embodying the millennia‑old integrity of China’s academy culture. Towering ancient cypresses thrive at Songyang Academy, where the wisdom of Cheng-Zhu Neo-Confucianism took root; the distant chimes of Yingtian Academy echo through history. Jinshui District serves as a modern interpretation of this scholarly spirit, dotted with numerous universities and colleges. Amidst the melodic sound of reading, traditional elegance blends seamlessly with academic innovation, and the streets exude the refined aura of "Learning to Attain the Heavenly Nature", as if the millennial cultural vein of classical academies quietly continues here.
Rooted in Zhengzhou’s profound cultural heritage and underpinned by the essence of classical academies and traditional manorial residences, the project is presented through contemporary design approaches. It incorporates signature design elements including the General’s Cypress Book Cliff, Dragon-scale Scrolls, miniaturized topography, a 3,000 ㎡ green carpet, and the progressive spatial layout of traditional academies. Complemented by landmark spaces such as multi-garden atriums in the style of manors and mansions, as well as the Four Waters Converging to the Hall motif, the project crafts an ambiance of "Above the City Center, A Secluded Retreat".
Taking landscape as the medium, the design integrates traditional art into a modern context. With cultural spatial context as its backbone, modern elegance as its style, and local cultural symbols as its finishing touches, the project delivers a fully upgraded residential campus masterpiece.
