The HHC studio project centers around material regeneration and cultural heritage, aiming to construct a sustainable and culturally rich new space within a modern office environment. The design transcends the limitations of standardized layouts, utilizing recycled old wooden window frames as the primary texture and narrative medium. By deconstructing and reconstructing the essence of oriental vegetation, it preserves its natural charm and historical warmth within a modern context. The tea room is enclosed by stacked old wooden windows, forming a translucent interface that adjusts light and sight. Under the interplay of light and shadow at different times, the space presents dynamic visual layers and a serene atmosphere. Furthermore, the tea room, through details such as tatami mats, vermilion rice paper, gold ink, and a statue of Bodhidharma, creates a ceremonial setting where one can sit, observe, and contemplate, restoring the scale of "sitting on the floor to talk" in traditional oriental life and the heritage of Chinese traditional culture. This project is not only a functional upgrade of the office environment but also a profound practice integrating sustainable design with oriental spatial philosophy. It introduces a pauseable, breathable, and connective cultural node within a high-efficiency, fast-paced work environment, where material circulation, behavioral rituals, and cultural imagery intertwine, endowing contemporary office spaces with a serene, inclusive, and nurturing spiritual dimension.
