Rooted in the unique landscape of Chengdu, the project borders the Jinjiang River to the west and Luhu Lake to the east, embraced by Longmen Mountain and Longquan Mountain, creating a geographical pattern defined as "two mountains as wings, rivers as veins." This exceptional natural endowment serves as the core source of inspiration for the design.
Drawing from classic cultural imagery, the design team adopts "Abundant Waters Nurturing the Emergence of the Qilin, Gentle Winds Fostering the Spread of Wings" as its core philosophy, aiming to create a modern residence integrated with nature that echoes Chengdu's distinctive urban temperament — seclusion amid prosperity and leisurely comfort in daily life.
The design distills the grand narrative of nature into sophisticated architectural language, with the relentless pursuit of premium materials and craftsmanship as a defining feature. Fourteen types of materials, ranging from warm natural stone and custom-finished metal to alabaster and high-tech composites, are selected for the front interface. Their delicate combination outlines a poetic vision of contemporary mountain-and-water scenery.
Craftsmanship peaks in the executive lounge’s large-scale artistic ceiling. The 6.4-meter-diameter installation features four progressive layers of materials: wood-grained aluminum panels, antique copper gilded panels, marble-textured stainless steel, and alabaster. Through complex customization and monolithic construction, the installation appears light and suspended, transforming technical challenges into artistic highlights.
Sustainability goes beyond conventional green technologies. The project translates the sponge city concept into ecological art that coexists symbiotically with the site. An integrated water system for storage, infiltration, purification, and reuse elevates the landscape beyond ornamentation to a breathable ecological foundation.
Sunken green spaces, ecological grass ditches, and permeable pavements guide and purify rainwater, creating a symbiotic "breathing entity." This design reshapes the microclimate and biodiversity, positioning the project as a “green sponge” embedded in the city, achieving a leap from ecological adaptation to contribution.
