Every scarf has its Style, Sense, Story, and Statement. This project inspired by the upside-down alternate dimension in parallel to the human angle, and the Tang Dynasty traditional Chinese architecture and its beauty of mortise-tenon joints construction technique. This design influenced by Odelia's photography which captured the ceiling of Chi Lin Nunnery, Hong Kong; a nunnery founded in 1934 as a retreat for Buddhist nuns and was rebuilt in 1998 following the traditional Tang Dynasty architecture.
With a 3C theory, this design is Collectible, Conversational, and Commercial; turned the traditional Chinese architecture element into a modern fashion accessory, as well as introducing the aesthetic of traditional Chinese architecture to the young millennials. Applied different format of photo manipulations to create also to re-define the relationship of Art, photography, fashion, product, as well as letting the fashion product speak its story for itself. The objective is to establish a sustainable product design, timeless also investable, praising and promoting the city-view and mixed culture of Hong Kong. This design created under a conceptual framework between functionality and aesthetic values, it is formable, functional also fashionable. Consumers can apply different techniques like folding pleats, tying knots, using clips, reform it as a gift-wrappings bags like furoshiki bag or bojagi wraps, Halter neck top, wrap-skirt, bolero , so to turn the scarf into the different form of shapes. This collection and its packaging is completely go green. Silk scarf, extremely soft, light, and smooth, giving a luxurious hand-feel also with durability; and packed in our designed bamboo box, which is 100% degradable, decoratable, and durable. All of these are natural materials.
