VEGA BEACH CLUB
Immerse Yourself in The Elements
Design Concept
A unique characteristic of the project is its prominent location on the water, a distinctive circular peninsula shape.
“When standing on the site, we can embrace a total panoramic view of the entire bay, we feel surrounded by water. From the sound of the waves, the sun rising at the horizon, to the feel and scent of the ocean breeze, we have here the unique opportunity to design a project that immerses the Visitors into an intimate experience among the Natural Coastal Elements.”
The architects created a sequence of emotions when arriving and penetrating the Beach Club, mystery, curiosity, and excitement. Not being able to embrace yet the whole scenery, the guest will be first discovering an intriguing Cocoon that let appears through the transparency of its skin an elevated lush tropical oasis standing on a Pedestal made of a 90 meters long shelves displaying Traditional Vietnamese Potteries and Art.
The guests will then penetrate the elegant enclosure through a modest interstice, to discover the hidden Oasis, an impressive central void with a suspended sculptural garden and the surrounding panoramic framed views toward the bay.
Project Highlight
The Project is articulated around the central glass staircase atrium that allows guests to explore the three levels and provide visual interaction between spaces.
The blue stripe: Long decorative and swimming pools surround the restaurant level on the ground floor, providing 360-degrees infinity edge views all around and contribute to cool down the air along the terraces.
The green stripe: Deep planters surround 180-degrees of the roof terrace background providing a lush green tropical atmosphere on the sky-lounge.
The building is naturally ventilated using stack effect from its central atrium, cross ventilation from the widely openable façade, and thermal inertia from the underground level.
The laminated bamboo louvers Skin combined with the planted area provide a shelter against a potential strong wind but allows by its porosity the crossing ventilation to cool down the lounge.
