Nature Apartment

This apartment is located in Hsinchu City. The original layout is two rooms and a tatami room which is open to the corridor. Too many cabinets in the room make the tatami room, master bedroom and dressing room lack of daylight and oppressive. Because of the screen in the entrance, the traffic flow of the entrance, the dinning room and the kitchen are staggered. There is not enough space for the dining table. The main design principles of this case is daylight, greenery, and wooden elements. The designer hopes to remove the old tatami room and unnecessary storage, and re-separate whole space into three rooms. At the same time, the windows blocked by cabinets are restored and the green plants are placed. With a limited budget, the designer used a large number of lumber core plywood as cabinets with protective paint in the public space. This project presents the rustic texture of the wooden elements.

At the entrance hall, the designer uses jungle-style hexagonal tiles with cement floor to shape the dust-falling area. Let the owner feel the fresh natural atmosphere as soon as they enter the door. In order to improve the traffic flow and uneasiness space, the designer uses a glass screen as the partition between the entrance and the dinning room. After the traffic flow of the entrance is separated from the kitchen, a warm dining corner is formed.

On the lumber core plywood of the shoe cabinet, the designer creates a different geometrical interest for the interior space with the combination of different combinations of punching. In order to satisfy the storage of books and showpieces, there is a stepped bookshelf combined iron frames and wooden boards behind the sofa. The wooden box on the iron frame can be moved and replaced at will. The homeowner personally put in some pots of green plants to increase warm of the home.
