Realm of Eastern Literati

Taking oriental Siheyuan/Sanheyuan as archetype of the project, the designer applies design techniques such as borrowed scenery, virtual and reality, sparse and dense and symbolizations, transforming the space to a place where people can return to peaceful refined lifestyle and enjoy relaxed poetic home life.

The roads on the three sides of the site bring continuous flow of pedestrians and vehicles. Properly obscure and guide the sight, and embellish with the mix and match of sceneries and plants of different colors, making the pathways slightly winding but not boring. The entrance area of shops is at the south side, with low profile and dignified gray and black colors as the main tone of the floor. Handroanthus chrysotrichus , ixora williamsii and duranta repens planted bring natural colors and warmth to the front yard, creating elegant, calm and high-quality texture.

On the west side, the building recesses inward to leave a large area of open space between the building and the road. Introduce linear green pedestrian pathways with trees planted, including cinnamomum camphora symbolizing tenacious vitality, longevity and auspiciousness, podocarpus macrophyllus symbolizing prosperity and perseverance, and osmanthus fragrans symbolizing sublimity, beauty, wealth and auspiciousness as the vista. Green bushes are in the lower layers, planted in a rhythmic curve, bringing fresh and natural scent to pedestrians. On the north side, handroanthus chrysotrichus and cinnamomum camphora are planted in two rows. Set waterscape as the foreground and creative fence inspired by paper-cut for window decoration as background, creating a cozy, leisure and spacious pathway area.

Following the linear pathway to the north entrance of the community, a quite pool comes to our sight to welcome guests. What’s more, the pool symbolizes Panchi in ancient times, with the blessing of passing exams and being government officials. The decorative minimalist scenic stones create quite reflection in the pool. Embellishing with luxurious and low-profile pavement at the entrance, a space with modern poetic atmosphere and richness is created. Walking through the entrance hall to the courtyard scenic observatory, flawless inlaid design technique of virtual and reality is applied there.
