Noosa Finest Yoghurt is a yoghurt like no other, taking the indulger on a flavor adventure of wildflower honey, real fruit and whole milk combined together for a delectable snack. Noosa is known for its bold taste and velvety smooth texture unlike any yoghurt on the market.
In 2020, Noosa planned to make its entrance into the Greek yoghurt category. The goal of the package design was to lead with taste and clearly communicate that this was a Greek yoghurt while ensuring it also looks like part of the Noosa Yoghurt brand. The challenge was all Noosa Yoghurt SKUs are sold in transparent cups allowing the visually tasty yoghurt to literally speak for itself, while Noosa Greek was going to be sold in an opaque white cup leaving the design to solely communicate the taste objective.
Knowing that transparent cups play a big role in the brand’s visual identity, we knew it was vital that the design be centered around the idea of showing a visual representation of the yoghurt as this was key to leading with taste. To bring in the brands bold personality we show the texture of the creamy, velvety yoghurt playfully enrobing over the cup. The use of the vibrant flavor colors on the bottom of the design not only tie back to the brand system but represent the real fruit aspect and bold taste that Noosa is known for.
To clearly communicate this product was part of the Noosa brand as well as being a Greek yoghurt it was imperative to lock the two aspects together. Leaving enough negative space around the logo lock up for easy legibility as the consumer is walking down the crowded yoghurt aisle.
