Chengdu CIFI Plaza

Located in the Xindu district of Chengdu, Chengdu CIFI Plaza houses a large-scale shopping mall, a retail precinct, a premium hotel and offices, forming a vibrant new lifestyle destination for the community.

The architecture features a ‘music in a park’ theme, integrating culture and entertainment in a spectacular retail programme. It incorporates elements of music boxes, a hanging live broadcast booth, music market and the memories of Chengdu, complete with a unique façade design.

The curvilinear facade mimics the musical stave. A series of swathes cuts across various floors of the building, while strings of musical notes dance across the stave alongside visual references to the piano. It tells a story of emotions and movement, designed to evoke the sense of composure one might experience amid the symphony of nature.

A series of setback terraces offers pleasant public spaces overlooking the adjacent park. It resembles the famous terraced fields of Chengdu, celebrating the beauty of local terrain.

The interior design builds on the architectural theme with diverse acoustic elements to engage the philharmonic community. The project will be a standout for modern lifestyle, focusing on health, comfort and finding joy in everyday life in a city constantly reinventing itself.
