Ying Hua Qing Su Gift Box（樱花情酥礼盒）

“Ying Hua Qing Su”, a cake factory founded over one hundred years ago, has been dedicated to design and manufacturing of cheery blossom cakes. It used the same Chinese pronunciation of “cheery blossom love letter” to convey a special aspect of Wuhan cheery blossom. As shown in Images 1-2, to highlight the local culture, full cheery blossoms were utilized as background of the gift box, accompanied with three Wuhan iconic architectures: Yellow Crane Tower (located at the upper left corner from the front view), East Lake Tower (at the center of the front view), and Jianghan Pass (in the bottom right corner from the front view). Important to note that the figure of the East Lake Tower, exhibited by outline of the cheery blossoms, has been the most well-known place for the best view of the cheery blossoms in Wuhan. The flying swallows with a love letter in mouth brought new vitality to the design, which helped create emotional connections and resonance with customers. The design also added typical portrayal of characters from 90s not only to build up a retro sense for this cheery blossom romance of Wuhan but also to remind customers the long history of this cake brand. The inner box was cleverly designed to a real cherry flower geometry (see images 4-8), combining with the blue bottom box that signifies color of a lake, which formed the beauty of “cherry blossoms on the lake”.
