Great Wall is one of China’s largest-selling wine brands. Consumers’ impression of the Great Wall brand still remains in the 1990s. Meanwhile, a large number of high-quality, high-value imported wines are occupying the market. The Great Wall No.9, is refreshed through more contemporary branding identity.
Our inspiration came from the techniques of traditional Chinese freehand landscape paintings, combined with modern abstract design language, forming wine labels with bulge and specific cutouts. The recognition for this product is stronger than before when observed from afar. The exquisite mountain illustrations at the foot of the Great Wall blends in, setting off the winding shape of the Great Wall in a glass bottle, conveying the Great Wall’s strong soul. Strengthening the number "9" in Chinese is more in line with the recognition of Chinese consumers, whilst holding more Chinese aesthetics.
