In this project we were looking for a different twist on traditional Chinese style.
The warm tones used in the entrance add to the warmth of the interior, against the cool, hard style of the rocks and woods outside.
The living room continues the traditional enclosed layout, with the living room and dining room in the same space, providing the convenience of modern living while retaining the neutral atmosphere of the traditional style. The furniture is placed in the space in a coherent manner, with no clear boundaries for guests and meals, allowing for both large banquets and small gatherings, with dignified chairs, orderly cases and elegant objects, making it very grand.
The overall colour palette is dominated by warm orange and ochre, set off by walnut wood and echoed by metal, revealing a different and stylish colour in a subdued style. The collision of different materials and tones in the space reveals a modern Chinese aesthetic with a distinctive style, revealing everywhere the beautiful pursuit of an oriental and elegant lifestyle.
In our design, we constantly recreate the scenarios of living in these spaces. In addition to functional satisfaction, we aim to create a specific behaviour and emotion through the design of each space, while creating frame-by-frame the fun that is reserved for everyday life. For example, the old people's room in the courtyard, which is designed to be a room with a view, is elegant and welcoming, echoing the two to maximise the comfort of the occupants.
The overall elegance of the space, with a few occasional splashes of orange, reveals the freedom and recklessness of the heart. The birds on the branches, the clouds on the mountains and the flowers in the vase are all natural expressions of interest, with man and nature coexisting in harmony.
The overall interior design is dominated by warm tones, intended to soften the cold and hard feel of traditional black and white Chinese architecture. The fusion of metallic and orange tones expresses a more stylish and light-hearted approach to life while retaining the traditional Chinese sense of modesty.
