Decorous Delight

The client has a passion for classical styles; therefore, the designer used the concept as the core and combined delicate color changes, soft furniture matching rich materials to create a luxurious living experience. At the same time, the atmosphere is warm and comfy for living; through the changing of colors, each area has shown different personalities of the user. Dark marbles are applied for the entryway flooring that contrasts the light marbles used in the living room; aside from creating separation for the two areas, the dark-colored flooring also echoes with the chandelier that gives guests a steadiness to both mind and soul during a visit. Overall, the living room was planned to be elegant, while the classic rail-style sofa wall creates a sense of peace with the square-hallowed layer boards on the ceiling. The kitchen and the dining room are designed to be open-ended and join the living room, making the whole space wider visually. The black dining table and the living room’s coffee table highlighted the area's core visually through their steady textures, creating rich layers for the space. An island is placed in the line-shaped kitchen to draw an invisible line, making both areas’ function clearer and the traffic flow smoother. The study continued the classical elements of the public space by placing a whole piece of open-ended bookshelf behind the desk; a low soft couch is placed near the window, allowing users to relax by enjoying the sceneries outside. Meanwhile, the bedroom developed a muscular sense of colors through wallpapers, rugs, curtains, bedsheets, and other pieces.
