The Start of The Journey

Traveling enriches life and deepens the appearance of home. The young couple wandering between the mountains and the sea are the owners of this house. On the road of traveling, crossing countless hills and walking many small roads, hoping that life can be faithful to simplicity and let abundance return to heart. The house passed down by the mother retains the original wall part, and the overall design image of "mountain, sea, blue sky, and white clouds" echoes their love of travel. The space is transparent and open, with flexible functions such as leisure, hospitality, and work at home.



The design style led by the hostess is mainly light-colored veneer and blue, white, gray and black, with a little metal and green plants embellished, simple and neat, but with a touch of warmth. In order to preserve the memories of traveling with my mother, there is a lot of storage space. The public domain adopts an open pattern to maintain the flow of circulation. In terms of storage design, the mirrored cabinets between the kitchen and the living room contain the belongings of the hostess’s mother. It is located in the center of the entire space and is full of symbolism. A large number of books are housed in the custom-made bookcases, reflecting the inner world of the owners, and the counters above the kitchen are also designed with special lines to symbolize the edges and journeys of their hearts.



The living room is decorated with glass compartments, low storage cabinets, and girder veneer, cleverly partitioning the space, allowing light to penetrate it and maintaining air circulation. The use of glass and mirrors increases the spaciousness of the space. The open compartments are sheltered by sliding doors, allowing the owner to use the space flexibly. The bedroom is located in a dark area in the space, so that hosts returning from the journey can enjoy the best quality and cozy private time.
